Following your airborne escapade, delve into our Mystery Picnic experience. Our digital experience will guide you through the city and laneways guiding you to collect your delicious picnic spread along the way. Decorated with constantly changing graffiti art and brimming with quaint Parisian style cafes, the laneways provide a momentary escape away from the busy skyscrapers only a stone's throw away.

We recommend allowing around 7 hours in total. You can take your time and spend longer on the picnic as desired.
Your pilot will provide you with the exact start time the day before your flight. Your morning commences before sunrise at Pullman Melbourne on the Park 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne, VIC 3002. Be prepared for an early start!

The balloon ride is a commercial passenger flight, there will be other passengers in the balloon. Following this, your picnic experience is self guided so you can go at your own pace.
Ballooning is not permitted for pregnant passengers. All passengers are prohibited from smoking / vaping or having any flammable items in their possession during the ballooning experience.

Food and dietaries
We won’t give away too much here, it is part of the mystery after all! But you can safely expect gourmet foods from local artisan producers, including your traditional picnic foods (such as cheese, meats, fruits and crackers etc.). And naturally, as artisan producers will be unique to the different destinations, the final picnic content varies slightly between them.
Absolutely! We can cater for most dietary needs for no additional charge, including gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian diets. Customers can also outline any allergies we should be aware of at the time of booking. We recommend pescatarians book as vegetarians.
Inclusions
Pricing is based on two adults.
Aside from your hot air balloon ride, transport is not included. However you will be able to walk your Mystery Picnic experience or jump on a tram.
All food for your picnic will be covered in the cost of your experience.
On the day
We recommend allowing around 7 hours, including enjoying your picnic. You can certainly take longer as you explore the city!
This allows 3-4 hours for the hot air balloon experience and around 3 hours for your picnic experience.
Your digital experience instructions for your picnic will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to your selected date. Post-purchase, your confirmation email will detail all the necessary information about timing and what to pack.
No local knowledge is required to solve the clues on the day. Whether you know the city well, or it's your first visit, the experience is designed to guide you to discover new things during your visit!
We will always have a picnic spot planned for you; be that a picnic area, a park or even a winery. Please note that picnic set up is not included so you are welcome to find a spot and settle in to eat. We also recommend bringing along a picnic blanket if you have one, in case you decide to settle on the grass.
Cancellation and changes
We require 7 days notice if you wish to reschedule or cancel your experience.
If your flight is cancelled by the pilot due to weather you will be contacted with the option to reschedule your whole experience or the hot air balloon component only.
Bookings are valid for 12 months, alternatively, you can opt for a refund within 14 days of your original cancelled flight date.
