This unique adventure combines our beloved Mystery Picnic experience with a wonderful self driving picnic boat as the end location where you can cruise the Nerang River and enjoy the delicious items you collected.
Our digital experience will take you on a journey through Surfers Paradise guiding you to collect your delicious picnic spread along the way. Embrace the touristy vibes and nature of Surfers Paradise. Yes, you are likely to encounter Meter Maids, but you're also in store for so much more! Go with the flow and we'll guide you to our favourite hot spots while soaking up rays and that sea air.
Start with solving fun, personally curated clues and riddles that’ll take you on a journey to collect your special gourmet picnic food bit by bit. Each clue you solve will lead you closer to your next picnic food pickup and even closer to your final stunning picnic location - a self driving picnic boat on the Nerang River!
No boat experience or license required! It's easy, simply jump aboard, set up your picnic spread and cruise the river while taking in the the beautiful Gold Coast scenery.

Food and dietaries
We won’t give away too much here, it is part of the mystery after all! But you can safely expect gourmet foods from local artisan producers, including your traditional picnic foods (such as cheese, meats, fruits and crackers etc.). And naturally, as artisan producers will be unique to the different destinations, the final picnic content varies slightly between them.
Absolutely! We can cater for most dietary needs for no additional charge, including gluten free and vegetarian diets. Customers can also outline any allergies we should be aware of at the time of booking. We recommend pescatarians book as vegetarians.
Inclusions
Pricing is based on two adults.
The picnic component of the experience is designed for walking. You are welcome to jump on a tram if you don't want to walk too far. The boat is included in the experience.
All food for your picnic will be covered in the cost of your experience.
On the day
The self driving picnic boat requires no boat licence or boating experience. You will enjoy a 1 hour cruise where you can enjoy your picnic spread.
We recommend allowing around 4 hours including the boat component where you will enjoy your picnic spread.
Your digital experience instructions for your picnic will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to your selected date. Post-purchase, your confirmation email will detail all the necessary information about timing and what to pack.
No local knowledge is required to solve the clues on the day. Whether you know the region well, or it's your first visit, the experience is designed to guide you to discover new things during your visit!
